Events at Markham Park
Markham Park in Sunrise hosts something almost every week. Every Saturday night, the South Florida Amateur Astronomers Association opens the Fox Observatory grounds for free public stargazing from sunset, weather permitting. The park is also home to big seasonal events like the South Florida Hot Air Balloon Festival in November, free-admission days that Broward County announces for holidays such as Veterans Day weekend, and naturalist programs on the nature trails. Upcoming dates are listed below; for park hours and fees, see location and directions.
